Merger News

We have now added a dedicated section to our website in relation to the proposed Merger between Prospect Surgery and Church Street Surgery later this year. Here you will find answers to some of our patients Frequently Asked Questions, information about any patient engagement we may be hosting along with progress updates on the entire process. Please click on the Further Information section on the right hand side of the website to find out more!

New Staff

As some of you are already aware, we have had multiple additions to our team at Prospect Surgery.

Vicky Grady our Advanced Nurse Practitioner joined us at the end of 2019 and works every day. She is qualified to see all acute conditions, some long term disease conditions and ongoing health issues. Seeing Vicky helps support our GPs to manage some more complex conditions.

Dr Barraclough joined us in November 2019, and as well as being our newest GP he is also our new Prescribing Lead at the practice. Dr Barraclough is the clinical lead for the NHS Wakefield Medicines Optimisation team and holds Dermatology clinics around the district.

Our Administration team has also had many new additions. Please join us in welcoming Sharon, Sonia and Leanne to the reception team.

New Partner

Some of you will have read in the Wakefield Express or on our Website and Social Media pages that sadly Dr North is relocating with his family. We are very pleased to announce, that we have recruited a new partner to join the practice as of the 1st April.

Dr Jogi has is very experienced, working in the NHS for nearly 20 years. He initially started as a paramedic in the Dewsbury and Wakefield area, before qualifying as a GP 8 years ago. I’m sure all patients will join us in giving Dr Jogi a warm welcome to the surgery.
